HOW WE WORK

We are intentionally small and selective.

We usually begin with a specific grant competition, funding need or investment question and, where we both see a fit, move into an ongoing partnership. Most of our work is with returning clients and referrals, and new spaces are opened only when we can commit deep attention. We work as an extension of your internal resource, staying with you between competitions to review your funding pipeline, refine your story and prepare for the next decision point.

Our work is deliberately quiet. We do not chase volume or rely on generic automation. The outcomes belong to our clients; our role is to make their funding and investment ecosystem work harder, with less noise and less risk.

A CONSIDERED APPROACH TO GRANT FUNDING

We help innovative businesses, charities, non‑profits and academic teams use grants in a deliberate way, not as a last‑minute scramble.

Our work addresses the reality of shrinking funding pots and high competition – including a wave of generic, AI‑generated applications – by focusing on depth, specificity and fit. We cover both the strategy (which innovation, research and charity grants to pursue and when) and the design of applications that stand up to assessor‑level scrutiny.

GRANT FUNDING STRATEGY: PATHWAYS, NOT ONE-OFF BIDS

We focus first on the bigger picture.

  • Mapping and sequencing innovation and research grant opportunities over 12–36 months, aligned with your organisational strategy rather than just the next deadline.

  • Designing a grant funding pathway that connects early‑stage support, follow‑on funding and, where relevant, routes into commercialisation and investment.

  • Identifying where grants should support your wider goals – product, research, social impact, market entry – instead of pulling you off course.

For charities and non‑profits, we help ensure grant activity supports longer‑term financial resilience and partnership‑building, not just the next project bid.

GRANT WRITING SERVICES: APPLICATIONS DESIGNED, NOT GENERATED

We offer specialist grant writing services for:

  • Innovative businesses and scale‑ups.

  • Charities and non‑profits seeking charity grant funding support.

  • Academic and public sector teams applying for research and innovation grants.

Our process is deliberately crafted and human‑led:

  • We build each case from first principles: need, evidence, innovation, delivery, risk and impact.

  • We tailor applications specifically to the contest, rather than forcing generic narratives into different schemes.

  • We draw on assessor‑level insight to structure answers the way real panels read them.

  • We do not rely on generic AI tools or template churn; we design arguments in depth and then use technology only to strengthen and stress‑test them.

You see clear drafts, transparent reasoning and a coherent narrative that is consistent across your application, budget and supporting documents.

IN-HOUSE ASSESSMENT SOFTWARE AND QUALITY REVIEW

To support our specialist writing, we use in‑house assessment software developed from real assessor and specialist experience.

  • Every application is scored against scheme‑specific criteria and our internal benchmarks before submission.

  • We highlight strengths, gaps and risks, then refine until the case is as strong and coherent as it can reasonably be.

  • This gives you a level of internal challenge that is difficult to achieve when you are writing and marking your own work.

For many clients, this “second pair of assessor eyes” becomes a standing part of their grant process.

DESIGNING FUNDABLE PROJECTS AND STRONGER CONSORTIA

We do not just write to fit your existing plans; we help you shape the project itself.

  • Refining objectives, workplans and impact so they speak clearly to what funders need to see and what you need for a successful project.

  • Stress‑testing delivery models, governance and risk so they are credible on paper and workable in practice.

  • Bringing additional expertise to the table where it adds value – introducing you to academics, sector specialists and charity partners who can deepen consortia, strengthen evidence or provide key advisory roles.

Curated, well‑balanced teams and realistic project designs are often what lift an application from “eligible” to “fundable”.

WHO THIS SERVICE IS FOR

Our grant funding strategy and grant writing support is a good fit if:

  • You suspect you are leaving innovation or research grants on the table.

  • You are tired of reactive, last‑minute applications and want a planned funding pathway.

  • You want experienced specialists, not entry‑level writers or generic AI, working on high‑stakes bids.

  • You need grant funding support that connects sensibly with investment, contracts and corporate funding, rather than sitting in a silo.

  • You want to build stronger consortia and project designs that reflect how funders actually make decisions.

HOW WE WORK WITH YOU

We can support you on a single high‑stakes competition, or as a long‑term partner embedded in your funding planning.

  • For one‑off projects, we start with a clear review of your eligibility, fit and evidence, then move quickly into narrative design, project shaping and writing.

  • For ongoing support, we schedule regular funding reviews, maintain a live grant pipeline and build a repeatable internal process with you.

We keep client numbers low so we can give each application and funding plan the attention it requires.
