OUR TEAM
The CraneLight Group is a small, independent team of senior funding specialists, bringing together deep expertise in grant funding, investment and corporate partnerships for a limited number of carefully chosen clients.
Client work is led by three directors – specialists in grant funding, investment and corporate funding – supported by a curated team of senior consultants with over 40 years’ combined experience in financial services, complex funding and advisory work. We do not run a volume model or rely on entry‑level writers; each project is handled by experienced practitioners.
Our funding director designs funding pathways and leads our grant writing practice, drawing on deep experience as both specialist and assessor.
Our investment director focuses on how grants sit alongside equity and other forms of capital, helping clients move from public funding into structured investment.
Our corporate funding and partnerships director helps charities, non‑profits and ecosystem projects build sponsorship, branding and corporate funding relationships that go beyond one‑off appeals.
Around this core, we bring in specialist consultants – sector experts, financial modellers, researchers – to build a team that fits each project rather than offering an off‑the‑shelf service.
16+ YEARS' EXPERIENCE, INCLUDING TIME AS AN ASSESSOR
Our funding director brings over 16 years of specialist experience in grant funding, taking clients from early‑stage start‑ups through to major corporate partnerships, including work with Olympic‑level partners.
Having sat on the assessor side as well as the applicant side, we understand how funders think, how panels read, and what differentiates a strong application from a merely adequate one in a crowded field. That experience is built into every project we take on.
